No scope to slash Hajj airfare: Biman MD

Shafiul Azim, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines said that it is not possible to reduce the Hajj flight fare of Biman.

He said this in a press conference held at Biman's head office on Sunday.

According to Shafiul Azim, “The flying fare was set with the Hajj package. This package includes airfare. The package is approved by the relevant ministry. They continue to have jurisdiction over this. That implies that the airline will not be able to lower the price of the Hajj package. As a result, it is not possible to slash the plane fare for Hajj pilgrims.”
