JS special session on April 6

The 11th Jatiya Sangsad will go into special session on April 6, marking Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad’s 50th anniversary. 

President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday has convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him by Article 72 (1) of the constitution.

The 22nd session will begin at 11am on April 6, said a press release of the parliament secretariat.

President Abdul Hamid is scheduled to deliver a speech at the special session, said parliament secretariat sources.

The last session of parliament was prorogued on February 9.
