Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman sued under DSA

A case has been filed with Ramna police station against The Daily Prothom Alo editor and publisher Matiur Rahman under the Digital Security Act on Wednesday night.

Shamsuzzaman, the newspaper's Savar Correspondent, and the 'Assistant Cameraman' have also been charged in the case.

Moreover, there are some others who have not been named among the accused.

According to the preliminary information of the case, a lawyer, Abdul Malek (Mashiur Malek), lodged the case at 11:00 pm.

Using print, online and electronic media, the accused have tried to malign the image and reputation of the state, said the primary statement.

The primary statement also said that the accused deliberately spread false information to cause deterioration of law and order in the country.
