Entries sought for National Film Award-2022

For the National Film Award-2022, interested filmmakers are urged to send their entries by 4 p.m. on May 10.

This was revealed at the jury board's first meeting, which was conducted at the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB) office here on Sunday. The jury board was established to evaluate the films submitted by producers in order to choose the awardees.

From April 4 to May 10, the interested film producers could pick up the specific application form at the BFCB office or obtain it from its website (www.bfcb.gov.bd).

The producers are required to send an attested photocopy of the birth certificate along with their proposal for any child performers.

Only Bangladeshi residents will be eligible for the 28 categories, the release states.

Foreign artists are not eligible for the award, but films made in joint production will be taken into consideration.

Released in 2022, the movies must have BFCB censure certification.

Short and documentary films are not required to have a theatrical release, but they must obtain a censor license by 2022 (considered year).
