Bangabazar fire under control

A devastating fire that broke out at Bangabazar in Dhaka's Fulbaria area on Tuesday morning has been doused after seven hours of frantic effort.

The fire originated at 6:15am, Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Rafi Al Faruq told The Daily Samkal.

A total of fifty units of fire service were working to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.

According to the ISPR, a joint support team of the Bangladesh Army and a support team of the Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Navy were working to control the fire in Bangabazar.

The fire in Bangabazar has spread to the adjacent building Annexco Tower.

Meanwhile, after getting the news of the fire, the traders of the market reached the spot and tried to take out the goods from the shops. 

However, it is very difficult to move the goods due to the smoke of the fire.
