Youth killed in Rampura road accident

A young man has been killed in a road accident in Rampura of the capital on the morning of Eid Day.

The deceased was identified as Mehdi Hasan, 30.

Eyewitness CNG-driven auto-rickshaw driver Khokon said Mehdi Hasan's motorcycle fell into the manhole in front of BTV building in Rampura around 11 am. At the same time, a car hit him from behind, leaving him seriously injured.

When he was rescued from the scene and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said that the body was kept in the morgue for autopsy.
