BGB recovers 5,700 yaba tablets in C'nawabganj

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 5,700 pieces of yaba tablet and 2.1 kg heroin from Chapainawabganj frontier on Saturday night.

On information, a patrol team of BGB from the Kamalpur border outpost, conducted a raid in Daulatbari area about 100 yards inside Bangladesh territory from the border at around 10:30pm. At that time, they spotted a group of smugglers coming from Indian side.

Smugglers fled as soon as they sensed the presence of BGB. From the spot, a bag was recovered, from which the heroin and yaba pieces were found, said BGB.
