Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar rail line goes to open this September

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Tuesday said the rail connection between Chattogram and Cox's Bazar will be completed by September of this year.

The government of Bangladesh and Asian Development Bank are jointly funding this project.

He informed reporters while visiting the project in Cox's Bazar that the rail line will be launched in September and that under-construction work is planned to be finished by the end of August.

About eight years after approval, in March 2018, the project's physical construction got underway.
