Drug trader on bail nabbed again from Shahjalal airport

Law enforcers have arrested a man with 2,268 pieces of yaba at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).

The arrested drug dealer is Noor Mohammad, 38, son of Md Ismail of Palongkhali village of Ukhia Police Station in Cox's Bazar district.

On information, the Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) conducted a joint drive inside the airport area and Noor Mohammad was apprehended. The current market value of the seized yaba is around Tk 6,80,400.

The procedure of filing a case against Noor Mohammad under the Narcotics Control Act with the Airport Police Station is underway, and preparation for handing him over to the police is underway, according to the APBn police sources.

Airport APBn Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mohammad Ziaul Haque said Noor Mohammad was also arrested with a large amount of yaba from the airport area in the past. There is already a case against him. After being released on bail recently, he started drug dealing again.
