No idea whether US will impose more sanctions: Momen

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said that he has no idea whether the US was going to impose any new sanctions on Bangladesh.

The minister made the comment in reply to a question of journalist at a press conference held in his ministry's conference room on Monday morning.

"I have no idea whether any new sanctions will come or not," the minister said, adding that "It will be unfortunate if a new sanction is imposed."

"We hope the US will proceed with their senses and not do that," he added.
