Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal may experience mild heatwave

The Bangladesh Metrological Department warned that a mild heatwave could affect several areas of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions in the 24 hours starting at 9:00am on Monday.

The country may see dry weather, but there is a potential of rain or thundershowers in one or two locations in Khulna division.

According to a Met office statement, temperatures could rise by one to two degrees Celsius during the day and a little bit at night across the nation.

The highest temperature ever recorded in the nation—36.6 degrees Celsius—was on Sunday in Khepupara, Barishal, while the lowest—22 degrees Celsius—was on Monday in Tetulia.
