Tk 42,095 cr proposed for Defence Ministry

In the proposed budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year, Tk 42,095 crore has been allocated for the Ministry of Defence. 

The budgetary amount is Tk 5,445 crore more than the Tk 36,650 crore revised budget from the preceding fiscal year 2022–2023. 

The government proposed increasing the amount allotted to the Armed Forces Division for the 2023–24 fiscal year to Tk 45 crore from Tk 37 crore.
