Bangladesh mission in Kolkata opens hotline

The Bangladesh deputy high commission in Kolkata has opened hotline number to facilitate services for Bangladeshi people to enquire about the casualties of any Bangladeshi citizen after a multiple train collision in India's eastern state of Odisha on Friday left at least 207 people dead and 900 injured.

The high commission issued a notification in this regard on Friday.

According to the deputy high commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata on Friday, there may be Bangladeshis on board the accident train. A good number of Bangladeshi passengers travel from Kolkata to Chennai by this train for medical treatment.
