Classes of primary level of secondary schools to remain closed

The Secondary and Higher Education Division has decided to close the classes of primary section of all public and private secondary schools due to the heatwave sweeping over the country.

The decision came following the closure of classes of the government primary school till Thursday.

The Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Professor Nehal Ahmed made the decision on Monday.

However, Professor Nehal said classes will continue at the secondary level as there is half-yearly assessment and examination starting from June 7.

In this regard, several instructions for the secondary level have been given, he said.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education had announced the closure of classes in all government primary schools from June 5 to 8 for four days due to ongoing heatwave across the country.
