Labour court proceedings against Dr Yunus to continue

The Labour Court has directed to continue trial proceedings against Nobel laureate Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus for violating the Labour Law.

Dr Yunus arrived at the Labour Court on Tuesday, following which the court held a hearing, framed charges, and passed the order.

Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun represented Dr Yunus and Advocate Md Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE).

On May 8, the Appellate Division, headed by Justice Md Nuruzzaman, rejected a petition to scrap the trial proceeding in the case filed against Dr Yunus for violating the Labour Law.
