Serajul Alam Khan no more

Serajul Alam Khan, a notable founder of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASAD), died while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Friday. He was 82.

One of the greatest organisers of the Liberation War, Serajul Alam Khan was put on life support on Thursday night. He was taken off life support at around 2:30pm on Friday. His niece Barrister Farah Khan confirmed the matter to the Daily Samakal.

Serajul Alam Khan had been suffering from various health complications for a long time. On May 7, he was admitted to Samorita Hospital in Panthapath in the capital due to respiratory illness. He was transferred to the DMCH on May 20.

His condition deteriorated on June 1, when he was admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU).
