Soybean oil price goes down Tk10 per litre

The price of bottled soybean oil has been brought down by Tk 10 per litre to Tk 189, said Senior Secretary at Commerce Ministry Tapan Kanti Ghosh.

"Loose soybean oil price was reduced by Tk 9 to Tk 167, and palm oil price reduced by Tk 2 to Tk 133," said Tapan Kanti while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Sunday.

He said that the revised prices will come into effect immediately.

The prices of soybean and palm oil may decline even further before the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, said the senior secretary, adding that if the price of sugar remains stable in the global market, its price may also be reduced in the local markets.
