Bangladesh logs 108 more Covid cases

Bangladesh reported 108 more Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours till Saturday morning.

With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 20,41,240, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,455 as no new fatalities were reported.

The daily case test positivity was at 5.41 per cent as 1,996 samples were tested in 885 laboratories.

Meanwhile, 71 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28, 2021, and the highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
