Over 3.55 lakh govt posts remain vacant

The country has now a vacant of 3,55,854 posts in different government offices, said State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain.

The state minister made the disclosure while responding to a star-marked question raised by treasury bench lawmaker Kazim Uddin Ahmed of Mymensingh-11 in the question-answer session which was tabled at the Jatiya Sangsad here with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

"The process is being accurately. The posts remain vacant in generally due to regular retirement and creation of new posts," he told the parliament.

Farhad also said to full-fill the vacant post is an ongoing process.

The state minister added that even the government, as per the rules, always keeps reserve 10 percent posts to manage the surplus employees.
