BNP-Jamaat will destroy the country if they come to power: PM

Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina warned the countrymen saying that BNP-Jamaat will destroy the country if they come to power.

She made the warning after paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of AL's 74th founding anniversary.

"BNP-Jamaat does not believe in the independence of the country. They will destroy the country. So, I urge you all to remain alert against the parties," she said.

Hasina warned her party's executives and activists to maintain watch since the BNP and Jamaat are terrorist groups aiming to harm Bangladesh.

The premier vowed to build a happy, prosperous and Smart Bangladesh by changing the fate of the countrymen.

If the Awami League maintains power, the nation will advance in development, she added. 

"The AL has ensured socioeconomic development at the community level, brought healthcare and electricity to every home, transformed the nation into a Digital Bangladesh, and provided internet access in remote areas” she cited. 

"The AL will make Bangladesh a Smart Bangladesh by the year 2041," she vowed.

The world, which formerly had sympathy for Bangladesh, today respects Bangladesh because of its major contributions to every sector, including agriculture, science, and health. This honor belongs to the Awami League, she claimed.

Since its establishment on June 23, 1949, the AL has battled to defend the rights of citizens, according to the Premier.
