Traffic police stabbed to death in Farmgate

A member of the Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) was stabbed to death in Dhaka's Farmgate area early on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Moniruzzaman. His body was found in front of the Shezan Point shopping mall in Farmgate.

Initially, it is assumed that the man was stabbed by a hijacker, DMP Tejgaon Police Station deputy commissioner HM Azimul Haque told the Daily Samakal.

Moniruzzaman was coming back to Dhaka from spending his Eid vacation in Kurigram, and was attacked in Farmgate, the deputy commissioner said.
