Rooftop helicopter landings may be allowed from July

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) may allow helicopters to land on corporate helipads, rooftops of residential hotels and hospitals from this month.

"A guideline in this regard has already been prepared. A circular will be issued within a day or two," CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman told the Daily Samakal.

"The building has to be fit for helicopter landing. Necessary certification has to be collected from BUET. Permission will not be given without proper certification," he added.
