Probe-body formed to look into citizens' data leak

The ICT Division on Monday formed a probe-body to look into the incident of leaking sensitive personal information of the country's huge number of citizens from the website of a government organisation.

State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak told journalists after an emergency meeting with representatives of 29 critical information infrastructures at the ICT Tower in the city's Agargaon area.

Digital Security Agency's director general will head the committee while it will have to submit the probe report within seven days next. 

Besides, a standing committee will be formed to regularly monitor cyber incidents.
