Govt fixes Tk50 for dengue test at public hospitals

The government has imposed a fixed fee of Tk50 instead of Tk100 for testing for dengue at public hospitals, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

The DGHS has advised keeping homes both inside and outside immaculate and getting rid of any potential Aedes mosquito breeding grounds to stop the disease from spreading.

It also urged everyone to take note of the following actions in order to stop the dengue outbreak.

Anyone with a fever should follow medical advice and visit hospitals for a dengue test, according to the statement.

A body temperature of 104 degrees, a severe headache, eye pain, pain in the muscles and joints of the body, frequent vomiting, swollen nasal glands, and a body rash were some signs of suspected dengue patients.

According to the DGHS, Aedes mosquito larvae will die if water accumulates for three days in a succession in any container or area of the house or surroundings. 

To get rid of mosquito eggs, used utensils should be cleansed by rubbing them with bleaching powder.

Keep them clean since Aedes mosquitoes lay their eggs on flower pots, plastic pots, tire treads, plastic drums, clay pots, buckets, tin buckets, tin shells, or coconut garlands, as well as on containers, mats, and battery cells.
