Transformer installation work at Rampura substation postponed

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Limited has postponed the work of installation of a new transformer at Dhaka's Rampura grid substation for enhancing its capacity due to unavoidable circumstances.

The installation work was scheduled to begin on Sunday (July 16). The new schedule will be announced later, reads an official handout.

Earlier, the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry issued a press release saying power supply in some areas under Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) can be interrupted for the next seven days.
