Banana saree weaver team calls on PM

A group of banana fiber weavers who are talented at making sarees, jewelry, and handbags from the banana fibres paid the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a courtesy call at her official residence, Ganabhaban, on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the premier's Press Wing, the prime minister spoke with the team members and inquired about their wellbeing.

The Prime Minister was then shown some sarees and given an explanation of how they were made by Anjali Devi of Moulvibazar, a maker of sarees using banana fiber

Later, the Prime Minister took pictures with all of them. She presented some gifts to the members of the team.
