Gold price crosses Tk 100,000 a bhori

The price of each bhori of gold has crossed Tk 100,000 for the first time in Bangladesh.

A press release signed by MA Hannan Aza, chairman of the standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity, said about the new rate on Thursday.

As per new rate, the customers will have to pay Tk 100,776 for a bhori or 11.664 grammes of 22-carat gold.

The new price will come into effect from Friday, it said.
