Road accident kills student in Dhaka's Rampura

A biker was killed after being hit by a truck in Dhaka's Rampura area early on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Pulak Gomez, a second-year HSC student at Martin Luther College in Baridhara.

According to Pulak's brother-in-law Rony, Pulak and his friend Hasan went to Puran Dhaka's Nazirabazar on Saturday night to have Biriyani. On their way back to Norda, a speedy truck hit their motorbike in front of the Better Life Hospital at Rampur.

Both the biker and the passenger were critically injured and were taken to a hospital. Pulak's condition deteriorated, and he was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the duty doctor declared him dead. Hasan is receiving treatment at this moment.

Inspector Bachchu Miah, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, said Pulak's body has been kept at the DMCH morgue. The concerned police station has been notified of the matter.
