Another Bangladeshi shot dead by miscreants in US

A non-resident Bangladeshi was shot and murdered during a grocery shop robbery in Phoenix of Arizona in the United States on Sunday morning.

Victim Mohammad Abul Hashim, 42, hailed from Burichang Upazila of Cumilla.

This is the second similar incident took place in the last five days.

Local police said Hashim was the proprietor of the Sunlight Market in Casa Grande, which is located at the intersection of West Concordia Drive and Sunland Jean Road. Attackers who allegedly stormed into the store on the day of the incident with the intention of robbing it and shot Hashim to death.

On information, the police went to the business and found Hashim's dead on the floor. 

A murder suspect was taken into custody hours after the incident.

A member of the Bangladeshi expat community named Mahabub Reza Rahim said that Hashim, his wife, their six-year-old son, and two-year-old daughter lived in Arizona. His seven siblings live with him in Phoenix as well.

Iyaz Ahmed, 23, was killed by miscreants on July 18. The local community got angry as police have not yet made an arrest in connection with the incident.
