Couple's hanging bodies recovered from Rampura

Police have recovered the hanging dead bodies of a couple from a house located on the Titas Road of East Rampura in the capital.

The deceased were identified as Jewel, 28, and his wife Nasrin, 22. Police recovered their bodies at around 3am on Wednesday. Primarily, it is assumed that the married couple committed suicide due to financial strife.

Rampura Police Station Officer in Charge Rafikul Islam said, "On information, we went to the spot late at night. There we found that two of them were hanging from the ceiling fan's hook.

"We notified the CID forensic team and they collected evidence from the spot. Then the bodies were sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for post-mortem."

He also said, "We are assuming that this incident happened because of the family's financial struggles. Till now, we did not find any other motive."
