SSC, equivalent exam results: 1.83 lakh students score GPA-5

A total of 1,83,578 students across the country have scored GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations this year.

Education Minister Dipu Moni announces the results officially at a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the capital at 11am on Friday.

She also said, in the nine general education boards, 1,59,220 students scored GPA-5. Among them, 70,975 are male students and 88,245 are female students.

In the Madrasa board, 6,213 students scored GPA-5. Among them, 3,188 are male students and 3,025 are female students.

The average pass rate is 80.39 per cent considering all education boards. The pass rate in the technical board is 86.35 per cent and in the madrasa board 74.7 per cent.

Meanwhile, pass rate in the Dhaka board is 75.55 per cent, in Chattogram 78.29 per cent, in Barishal 90.18 per cent, in Mymensingh 85.49 per cent, in Rajshahi 87.89 per cent, in Jashore 86.17 per cent, in Cumilla 78.42 per cent, in Dinajpur 76.84 per cent, and in Sylhet 76.06 per cent.   

Students can get their results by visiting the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and entering their roll and registration number.

Apart from this, they can also get the results by sending an SMS to 16222.

Around 20, 72,153 students under the 11 education boards – nine general, one madrasa and one technical – appeared at the SSC and equivalent examinations.

The exams were held in all subjects with full 100 marks but on curtailed syllabuses. The decision to shorten the syllabuses was made considering the fact that the candidates of these public exams attended fewer in-person classes compared to the pre-Covid period.
