Female students outperform male counterparts in SSC exams

The female students have outnumbered their male counterparts in terms of pass rate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2023.

A total of 7,06,375 female students passed the examinations with 82.39 per cent success rate this year while the number of successful male students is 6,16,071 with 79.34 per cent pass rate, according to the SSC results published Friday.

On the other hand, the success rate of female students in the last year was comparatively more at 87.71 per cent while the male was 87.16 per cent.

This year, the number of female GPA-5 receivers is also more than the male students while 84,964 male and 98,614 female students – 13,650 more than the male students – obtained GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations across the country.

Even, some 48,332 more female students under all education boards have been promoted this year compared the male students.

Mentionable, a total of 20,41,450 students – 10,09,803 male and 10,31,647 female – participated in the SSC and equivalent exams from 11 education boards across the country in the present year.
