Dengue claims over 250 lives this year

The total number of dengue-related deaths rose to 251 this year with the four deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), at least 2,694 dengue patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours till 8am on Monday, 1,168 of whom were in Dhaka.

With the new cases, there are currently to 51,832 dengue patients across the country.

Meanwhile, a total of 42,195 dengue patients were released from hospitals.

In contrast to the 62,382 cases, 281 people passed away from dengue last year.
