Rain, gusty wind predicted in 11 districts

Inland riverports of the country have been warned of squally weather by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

An inland riverport warning issued Wednesday reads, "In association with rain or thundershowers, temporary South/Southeasterly squalls speed 60-80KPH is likely to occur over the regions of Jashore, Kushtia, Faridpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar."

Riverports in these districts were advised to hoist Riverine Warning Signal No Two (R) Two.

The bulletin adds, "Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary South/Southeasterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60KPH is likely to occur elsewhere over the country wherein riverports shall hoist Cautionary Signal No One (R) One."

This forecast is valid till 6pm, commencing at 10am on Wednesday.
