Three police officers made Additional IG

Three senior police officers have been promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General (Addl-IG) of grade-2 post of Bangladesh Police.

In this regard, a notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, has been issued by the Security Division of the Home Ministry.

According to the notification, the promoted officers include National Security Intelligence (NSI) Director, also Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Selim Md Jahangir, DIG (Mymensingh Range) Devdas Bhattacharya and Tourist Police Chief (additional IGP, current charge) Habibur Rahman.

This order, which was made in the public interest, will take effect as of the day of joining, it said.

The joining letter will be sent by the promoted officials via the appropriate channel.

They will continue to keep their current positions until another posting order is made.
