12th national election schedule in November: EC Anisur

Election Commissioner Anisur Rahman said the national election schedule may be announced in November of this year.

He made the disclosure while responding to questions from reporters at his office in the election building on Wednesday afternoon.

He said that in the upcoming national elections, the ballot paper will be sent to polling stations across the country on the morning of the polling day, except for remote areas.

The EC has not yet convened a meeting to go over the election schedule, he added.

This time, candidates will have the option of presenting their papers for nomination both in person and online, the election commissioner continued.
