Dengue death toll now over 350

The country has reported 12 more dengue fatalities as of Wednesday morning, increasing the total number of deaths from the mosquito-borne disease this year to 352.

According to information from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 2,844 more patients were admitted to hospitals during that time, raising the total number of dengue-related hospitalizations for this year to 75,069 patients.

After 179 people died from dengue in 2019, the country experienced 281 death cases in 2022—the highest amount ever.
