5,000 sued over clashes at BSMMU, Shahbagh

A case has been filed against 5,000 Jamaat-Shibir leaders and activists in connection with the attack and vandalism at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka when the body of war crimes convict Delwar Hossain Saeedee was taken to Pirojpur from the hospital.

Sayedee's son Masud Sayedee is also named as accused in the case.

The case was filed with Shahbag police station in the capital on Tuesday night, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station Nur Mohammad.

In the case statement, it has been accused of obstructing government work, beating, setting cars on fire.
