Students of 7 DU-affiliated colleges block Nilkhet again

Students of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) have again taken up a position at the Nilkhet intersection of Dhaka, aiming to press home their one-point demand.

Their programme started at around 12 noon on Tuesday. The students said their one-point demand should be met instantly. Otherwise, they will not withdraw their position.

They alleged that ever since the seven colleges became DU-affiliated, the students have been subjected to various types of harassment. They demand being promoted to the next academic year through makeup exams of up to three subjects, relaxing the CGPA requirement.

On August 16, they held a similar programme at Nilkhet intersection. Then on August 20, they held a hunger strike programme in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital.
