10th Bangladesh-US defence dialogue begins in city

The two-day 10th bilateral defence dialogue between Bangladesh and the United Stated of America has begun in the city on Wednesday, said a press release of Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

With a view to creating an opportunity for holding wide-ranging discussions on military cooperation between the two countries is the aim of this dialogue.

In 2022, the United States hosted the ninth defence dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States.

In 2012, the first BD-USA Security Dialogue resulted in a joint declaration that marked the beginning of the bilateral defence dialogue (BDD) between Bangladesh and the US.

Since then, Bangladesh and the United States have alternated hosting the BDD each year.
