A seminar entitled ‘Social Inclusion and Educational Support to the Students with Disabilities in Bangladesh’ was held at Gono University in Savar on Tuesday.
Kobe Gakuin University Japan, Gono University, and Jahangirnagar University Bangladesh jointly organized the seminar funded by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan, said a press release.
Discussion of social inclusion and educational support for students with disabilities, rehabilitation facilities, and the COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh were focused on the event.
Abu Naser Md Rasal of Gono University and Nazim Hossain of Jahangirnagar University presented their papers in the seminar while another research paper was presented by Akter Syeda Marufa and Syeda Shamsia Aziz of Kobe Gakuin University of Japan.
Prof. Jumpei Oba from Kobe Gakuin University was present on the occasion as chief guest while Prof. Takashi Watanabe of Nihon Fukushi University was the special guest.
Among others, the vice-principal of Gono University Prof. Md Abul Hossen, Registrar S. Tasaddeq Ahmed, faculty member Uttam Kumar, Chairman of the Department of Government and Politics Jahangirnagar University Prof. Tarana Begum, Rafi Hamdan from BRAC University, Prof. Shinji Sakamoto from Otemae University, Prof. Ayako Tsukumo, Prof. Gen Maeshima, and Atsuki Kasai from Kobe Gakuin University were present in the seminar.
Prof. Mitsuhiko Sano from Kobe Gakuin University and Prof. K.M. Mahiuddin from Jahangirnagar University conducted the seminar.
