US Ambassador Peter Haas calls on DMP commissioner

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas has paid a courtesy call on Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandkar Golam Faruq at the latter's office on Wednesday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Faruk Hossain confirmed this to The Daily Samakal.

According to the DMP news portal, they discussed the recent anti-militant operations, arrests and law and order situation in the capital city.

The officials expressed hope that the meeting will increase the amity and mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Additional commissioner of the DMP - Dr Khandaker Mohid Uddin, chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Md Asaduzzaman, Detective Branch (DB) chief Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, among other officials, were present during the meeting.
