Inventor of 'Kazi Guava' Dr Badruddoza passes away

National Emeritus Scientist Dr Kazi M Badruddoza, who was also the inventor of the well-known "Kazi Guava," has passed away at the age of 96.

The scientist died at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday afternoon. He is survived by three children and five grandchildren.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death.

In a condolence message, she said, "The death of this renowned agricultural scientist and successful agricultural organizer has caused an irreparable loss to the country in the field of agriculture."

She said that Dr Badruddoza will be remembered by the countrymen through his creative works.

The premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep Symphony to the bereaved family.
