Lavrov calls on PM Hasina

The Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Gono Bhaban on Friday morning, according to a tweet from the Russian foreign ministry.

He also paid his respect for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a flower wreath at the Bangabandhu memorial at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital.

Lavrov arrived in Dhaka on Thursday night and had a meeting with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. 

The Russian minister addressed the media at a following joint press conference with Momen.

He is set to leave Dhaka for New Delhi to attend the G20 meeting.
