ADC Harun attacked earlier by President's APS: DB chief

Additional Commissioner of DMP and head of Police Detective Branch Harun-or-Rashid said that President's APS Mamun earlier attacked ADC of Ramna Division of Police Harun-or-Rashid, who was temporarily suspended in connection with the beating of two Bangladesh Chhatra League’s cetral leaders at Shahbagh Police Station.

In response to a question from reporters at the DB office on Tuesday afternoon, the DB chief said, “The incident of torture of BCL leaders started at BIRDEM Hospital. It was reported that Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to the President Azizul Haque Mamun had attacked the sacked ADC Harun earlier. That should also come under investigation.”

The DB chief feels that the reason behind the incident needs to be found out. 

“The incident started at BIRDEM Hospital. What exactly happened there needs to be investigated,” he continued.
