Massive fire at Dhaka's Krishi Market

A massive fire has broken out at Krishi Market in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area. 17 units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) were fighting to bring the blaze under control at the time of filing this report at 8:40am.

The fire broke out at around 3:45am on Thursday. However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, FSCD media cell official Anwarul Islam Dolon said they received information about the fire at around 3:43am. The first unit reached the spot at 3:52am. 

Members of the armed forces have also joined the FSCD in battling the blaze, the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.
