The Daily Samakal retains readers' popularity: Hasan

The Daily Samakal has become successful to retain its popularity among the readers on the way to its 18-year journey, said Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud.

The minister made the comment while addressing a function at Times Media Bhaban marking the 18th founding anniversary of The Daily Samakal in the city on Saturday.

The Daily Samakal Editor Alamgir Hossain, City Editor Shahed Chowdhury and Chief Reporter Lotan Ekram, among others, were present on the occasion.

Dr Hasan hoped that The Daily Samakal would play a role in the ongoing development of the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
