Dhaka-Metrorail MRT-6 goes to open on November 4

The government has rescheduled the Agargaon to Motijheel stretch of the Dhaka Metrorail MRT-6 to begin service on November 4.

ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, announced on Friday that the previous decision to open the highway on October 29 had to be postponed due to the prime minister's schedule.

Obaidul Quader, the minister of road transport and bridges, had originally stated on August 20 that the portion will open to the public on October 20, but that date was then put back to October 29.

On December 28 of last year, the Uttara-Agargaon portion of the metrorail opened to the public.
