PM to inaugurate Bangladesh Bar Council building on Saturday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally unveil the newly built building of the Bangladesh Bar Council on Saturday.

A 15-story modern building including banks, accounts departments, IT departments, meeting rooms, two conference rooms, record rooms, storage rooms, waiting areas, cafeterias, daycare centers, exhibition spaces, registration rooms, and ample office space was built at a cost of Taka 138 crore. 

The Department of Architecture planned the building while the Law and Justice Division oversaw construction, according to an official announcement. It has five tribunal rooms, a multipurpose hall, and a separate prayers area.

The structure, which includes a TV lounge, kitchen, and dining hall, will be able to accommodate more than one hundred lawyers.  

Additionally, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend the lawyers' grand rally on Saturday at Historic Suhrawardi Udyan as the chief guest. Anisul Huq, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, will chair the rally.
