Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said the government
is working to bring down the prices of essentials and control inflation.
"The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund
(IMF) said that the economy of Bangladesh is on the right track. Currently, our
foreign exchange reserves are between US$20 to $22 billion," he said.
Mustafa Kamal made the remark while speaking at a press
briefing at the Finance Ministry conference room in the city. He expressed hope
that inflation will see a decline in the coming days.
Finance Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, among others,
was present on the occasion.
